Epicure Catering welcomed new parents at KIS International School Reignwood Park, introducing its approach to food safety, balanced nutrition, menu planning and everyday school dining.
Epicure Catering was delighted to welcome new parents to KIS International School Reignwood Park and introduce the people, principles and systems behind the school’s dining experience.
Beginning a new school year is an important moment for every family. Parents are becoming familiar with a new community, new routines and the services that will support their children throughout the school day. The welcome session provided an opportunity for families to learn more about Epicure’s catering services and understand how our teams approach food safety, nutrition, menu development and daily operations.
During the presentation, the Epicure team explained that a successful school dining programme involves much more than preparing individual meals. Every service day depends on several connected areas working together—from ingredient sourcing and kitchen preparation to food-safety controls, menu planning, service flow and communication with the school community.

Food safety is embedded throughout our operations. Our teams follow structured procedures for receiving and storing ingredients, preparing meals, controlling temperatures and maintaining clean working environments. These processes are supported by staff training, clear responsibilities and regular operational oversight.
Parents were also introduced to Epicure’s approach to menu planning and balanced nutrition. A thoughtfully designed school menu must consider the nutritional needs of students while remaining varied, age-appropriate and enjoyable.
Balance is considered across the wider menu cycle rather than through one meal alone. Our culinary and operations teams look at the role of different food groups, portion suitability, menu variety and the practical requirements of preparing and serving food consistently within a busy school environment.
Student acceptance is another important part of the process. Nutritious meals can only support students when they feel comfortable engaging with the food. Menus therefore combine familiar dishes with opportunities to experience different ingredients and flavours, helping children gradually build confidence and a positive relationship with food.
Following the presentation, parents were invited to the Main Dining Hall for a food tasting. The selection included dishes from both the daily menu and special boarding menus, allowing families to experience the flavours, presentation and variety that form part of the KIS Reignwood Park dining programme.
The tasting also created an informal setting for parents to meet the team and ask questions. These conversations are valuable because a strong school catering partnership depends on listening to the perspectives of students, parents and the school.
Feedback helps our culinary and operations teams understand what is working well, where additional communication may be helpful and how the dining experience can continue to develop over time.
We would like to thank every parent who joined the session, as well as the KIS Reignwood Park team for the warm welcome and continued collaboration.
Epicure Catering is proud to support the KIS Reignwood Park community with food that is prepared safely, planned thoughtfully and served with genuine care. We look forward to working closely with the school and its families throughout the academic year—supporting students through nourishing meals and a dependable everyday dining experience.
